Happy Halloween!

Those wacky folks at “Today” staged an elaborate send-up of the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Matt Lauer was William, of course, and Ann Curry was Kate. But the payoff came when Meredith Vieira, Curry’s predecessor as co-host, returned as Queen Elizabeth II.

On “Live! With Regis and Kelly,” Kelly Ripa was having a grand time sending up “Jersey Shore,” ”Dancing With the Stars” and “Toddlers & Tiaras.” But I sure missed Regis Philbin on the last Halloween show during his tenure. He departs Nov. 18.

Where was Mr. Philbin?

He decided to take the day off and has said that the Halloween episode is no favorite of his, a show spokeswoman said.  And he feels that way even though last year’s Halloween show won him and Ripa the Emmy.

A preview revealed that “Live” will start the search for his successor on Nov. 21.

On “The View,” the women donned costumes. Whoopi Goldberg was Steven Tyler, Joy Behar was a hoarder, Sherri Shepherd was Flavor Flav and Elisabeth Hasselbeck was muscular Bachelor handing out roses. The women also talked to “Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman about zombies and Kate Gosselin about her future. The interview with Gosselin, dressed as a zombie, was scary indeed.

On his talk show today, Anderson Cooper plays Phil Donahue. The talk show legend surprises Cooper, who is in his first season with “Anderson.”

Here’s part of their conversation.

Cooper: “You were on the air for 29 years doing your show. I’ve been on for like a month. How do you do that? The amount of energy that is required is really extraordinary.”

Donahue: “Well, it is, but you’re young, and you will be fine.”

“Anderson” airs at 2 p.m. on WESH-Channel 2.
