Nov 26, 2011 - Dallas may have already played their Week 12 game, but that doesn't mean there's not a ton of entertaining and important football to watch on Sunday. Cowboys fans should have a vested interest in multiple games this weekend, with the Falcons, Bears, Eagles and Giants all still to play this week.
As always, the staff at SB Nation Dallas picks each and every game, so without further ado, here's our Week 12 picks:
Vikings(2-8) atFalcons(6-4) - If you're aCowboysfan, then you're a Vikings fan for this week as they head to Atlanta to take on Matt Ryan and the Falcons. Despite the slow start to the season, Atlanta finds themselves right in the middle of the NFC Wild Card hunt. Unfortunately for the Vikings, it does not look like Adrian Peterson will be playing.
Charley Code: Falcons - Yuck. Maurice London: Falcons - No Adrian Peterson or a gimped up AP...no chance for the Vikings. Liam Ponting: Falcons - Without Peterson, the Vikings offer nothing. K.D. Drummond: Falcons - Atlanta has an easy end-of-season sched, meaning Dallas better win the east Christopher Fittz: Falcons - No Purple Jesus? No Thanksgiving Miracle. Brett Perryman: Falcons - Huge home game for the Falcons, can't see them blowing it. JP Starkey: Falcons - Terrible game, but at leastBrett Favrestill isn't on the Vikings. Small victories.
Browns(4-6) atBengals(6-4) - Well, here we go. Can the Bengals rebound from losing to theSteelersandRavens? They'll need to if they want to keep up in the AFC playoff picture. Cleveland does have the top-ranked passing defense, so they do have a chance to upset the Bengals.
Code: Bengals - I really like that Andy "red sack" Dalton has turned around a Bengals team that is lacking their starting 2010 QB and star receiver, OchoStink oh. London: Bengals - Dalton and co. get back on track against a porous Browns team. Ponting: Bengals - After Pittsburgh and Baltimore in successive weeks, the Bengals will be more than happy to beat up on the Browns. Drummond: Browns - I likeAndy Dalton, I do... but something tells me he's taking on another L like Snoop in Kingston. Fittz: Bengals - Admit it, when you were a kid, these two teams were the same team in your mind. Perryman: Bengals - These two teams have combined for ten wins. That's more than I thought they would win all season. Starkey: Browns - This just seems like the type of game that the Browns will randomly win.
Buccaneers(4-6) atTitans(5-5) - What's that you hear? Both Tampa Bay and Tennessee's playoff chances slipping away? Bottom line: both teams need to win to give themselves a chance in the final month of the season.
Code: Bucs - p.u. London: Bucs - Two mediocre teams doing mediocre things. But one has LeGarrete Blount. Ponting: Titans - Bucs have been remarkably inconsistent this year, and this has been the type of game that they've dropped. Drummond: Bucs - When in doubt, pick the mediocre team that has a better playoff opportunity to crap the bed. Fittz: Titans - Let the rise of the true best QB in this year's class,Jake Locker, begin. Perryman: Bucs - That little glimmer of hope that the Titans had of being playoff contenders? Yeah, that's gone. Starkey: Titans - Still not buying the Bucs.
Panthers(2-8) atColts(0-10) - Is this the last call for the Colts? This is likely their best chance to grab a win this season. Coming into the season, it would have been impressive to think that Cam Newton could lead his team into Indianapolis and win. Now, though, it's whatever as the Panthers are 4 point favorites.
Code: Panthers - The best money War Eagle can buy. London: Colts - They had a week off, they know this is their only shot at a win. Ponting: Panthers - Last potentially winnable game for Indy, but they still don't have the firepower to pull it off. Drummond: Panthers - In #KillaCam we trust. Fittz: Colts - LOL Cam Newton. Perryman: Panthers - Ok Colts, here is your chance to stave off infamy. You're not going to take it, are you? Starkey: Panthers - I will not pick the Colts for the rest of the season.
Cardinals(3-7) atRams(2-8) - NFC West at its very best right here. There's not too many nice things to say about this game, and the only reason to pay attention to it is for 1. fantasy purposes and 2. draft position.
Code: Cardinals - The NFL has a lot of suck. London: Rams - ...... Ponting: Rams - Home team. Wow does this game suck. Drummond: Rams - I'd rather watch reruns of the NBA from 1973. Fittz: Cardinals - Patrick Petersonis the only reason this game should be played. Perryman: Cardinals - It's pretty amazing that the Rams have two wins, both outside of their crappy division. Starkey: Cardinals - Just because they haveLarry Fitzgerald.
Bills(5-5) atJets(5-5) - Whoever loses this game is entirely up a creek for the rest of the season. Neither team figures to catch thePatriotsfor the AFC East, but both teams, as it stands, are prominently in the Wild Card race. Buffalo is in a bit of a bigger tailspin, getting the house handed to them the last three weeks and losingFred Jacksonto IR.
Code: Bills - I do not like Rex Ryan, or his fat belly or his same gender loving QB. London: Jets - That was fun for about 4 weeks, Bills. Ponting: Jets - Bills to continue their freefall. Drummond: Jets - Hmmm, root for the team Dallas whomped, or the team they should have defeated... Fittz: Bills - I'm interested to see what happens when the not-good-Jets are considered not good by the media for once. Perryman: Jets - What a mess the Bills suddenly are. When the Jets beat them a few weeks ago, it looked like a high quality win. Now, not beating them would be utter disaster. Starkey: Jets - Ryan Fitzpatricksure is looking like he fleeced the Bills.
Texans(7-3) atJaguars(3-7) - And so theMatt Leinartera begins. This isn't exactly what Texans fans wanted to see this year, but at least Houston still sits at 7-3, comfortably in first in the AFC South -- and they'll haveAndre Johnsonback this week as well.
Code: Texans - The 7th coming of Matt Leinart. Get your t shirt ready. London: Texans - I believe in Matt Leinart....says nobody. But I don't think he'll be completely awful and they're going to rely on the running game anyways. Ponting: Texans - Leinart gets a soft landing in his return to the QB#1 gig. Foster and Tate should run all over the Jags. Drummond: Texans - When a team signsKellen Clemensbefore your first start, you can't have a good feeling. Fittz: Texans - Now that I feel the 8-8 dream is dead, I might as well pick the Texans to win. Perryman: Texans - My theory here is that the Texans put everything they've got into this game to show themselves they can win withoutMatt Schaub, then fade badly afterward. Starkey: Jaguars - Hey, they beat the Ravens, and I don't think Houston's offense will be in sync.
Bears(7-3) atRaiders(6-4) - Once again, if you're a Cowboys fan, then you're a Raiders fan this weekend. The Bears will be withoutJay Cutlerfor the rest of the regular season it looks like, and the Raiders are seemingly coming into their own withCarson Palmerat quarterback.
Code: Bears - In a stunning turn of events for the NFL fans of America (myself not included)Brian Urlacherstarts in place of the Vanderbilt QB Jay Cutler. Thank God. London: Raiders - The Raiders are going to make the playoffs and Nnamdi will not. Oops. Ponting: Raiders - We'll see how Hanie ends up faring. I'll be pessimistic for now. Drummond: Raiders - Why aren't more people calling out Carson Palmer for tanking in Cincy? Fittz: Raiders - I'll miss you terribly, Jay Cutler. Perryman: Raiders - Don't make fun of my broken thumb I'm Jay Cutler I have a lisp and diabetes. Starkey: Raiders - The ghost of Al Davis is pleased that the Raiders will make the playoffs.
Redskins(3-7) atSeahawks(4-6) - It's sort of fun seeing Mike Shanahan fail, isn't it? This game has no playoff implications, and you'd be hard pressed to get any serious fantasy league implications out of it, either. What a depressing game.
Code: Seahawks - I guess. London: Seahawks - Somebody really needs to look into Qwest field. That HOF is scary. Ponting: Seahawks - Long trip for Washington and Seattle's probably marginally better. Drummond: Redskins - Losers bracket. Fittz: Seahawks - Now that the Redskins lost their Super Bowl last week, they'll go back to being terrible. Perryman: Seahawks - Sunday looked like a typical Skins team blowing their wad. Starkey: Seahawks - Home team, etc.
Patriots (7-3) atEagles(4-6) - Bill Belichick andTom Bradycan goodnight the lights on Philadelphia's season with a win on Sunday, which would be much to the delight of anybody who isn't an Eagles fan. Philly's season rests in the hands ofVince Young, who will be starting for an injuredMichael Vickfor the second straight week.
Code: Patriots - Pats in a close one. Tom wins by 4. 27 23. London: Patriots - Gronkowski is going to destroy those linebackers. Ponting: Patriots - Just a temporary resurgence for Philly. Drummond: Patriots - Best matchup of the weekend. Expect Gronk and Welker to make Nnamdi look real silly. Fittz: Patriots - If the Eagles win this game, I'll be concerned that they're "back" but they won't. Perryman: Patriots - Brady isn't going to make things easier for you like Eli did. Starkey: Patriots - If Vick were healthy, I'd be a bit worried. But instead, the Pats face off against the winner Vince Young.
Broncos(5-5) atChargers(4-6) - Is there any way that Norv Turner keeps his job after this season?Tim Tebowwill have another chance to further his story this weekend, as he could certainly effectively end San Diego's season with a win.
Code: Tie - I honestly can't pick this one. I can't decide if I hate Tebow or Rivers more. London: Chargers - What in the world has gotten into Phillip Rivers? That int at the end of the Bears was flabbergasting. Ponting: Broncos - Tebow for president. Norv's crew are melting down at a pretty inopportune time (again) and this feels like the kind of game the Broncos somehow pull out. Drummond: Broncos - I'm not even a Tebow fan, but I am giddy to see him pass for 50 yards and win. Fittz: Chargers - It just can't keep happening, right? Perryman: Chargers - [Quarterback joke overload] Starkey: Broncos - San Diego just looks like they don't care.
Steelers (7-3) atChiefs(4-6) - PoorTyler Palko. First, he has to face the Patriots in Foxboro on Monday night, and now he has to face Pittsburgh at home on Sunday night. Next week, he'll be back on the bench as well, withKyle Ortonin town.
Code: Steelers - Chefs are terrible, bro. London: Steelers - Yikes. Ponting: Steelers - This won't be pretty for Chiefs fans. Drummond: Steelers - This just in. Despite Ron Jaworski's best efforts, Tyler Palko doesn't even think he belongs in the league. Fittz: Steelers - I'm unsure how the Chiefs got in so many primetime games. Perryman: Steelers - Should be ugly. Starkey: Steelers - Yup.
Giants(6-4) atSaints(7-3) - The death row stretch of New York's schedule continues on Monday night, as the Giants head to New Orleans. Needless to say, a Saints win gives the Cowboys a full game lead over the Giants headed into Week 13... and the Cowboys currently hold the tiebreaker, too.
Code: Saints - I like New Orleans. London: Saints - Unstoppable. Eli Manning is. Ponting: Saints - The Giants are really one-dimensional without Bradshaw. If he's back this week, this could potentially be a great game. Still, I have to like the Saints in the Superdome. Drummond: Saints - Sean Payton has been licking his chops for 2 whole weeks. That's the same amount of timeBrandon Jacobshas been licking himself. Fittz: Saints - This should be a fun game to watch the Giants lose. Perryman: Saints - The Giants aren't that great, and the Saints are going to want this pretty badly at home. Starkey: Saints - New York will suddenly find themselves in a must-win situation on a short week against thePackers. Oh boy.

I'm currently a senior at Western New England University in Massachusetts. I prefer a pitchers duel to a slugfest but rather see a shoot out than defensive struggle in football.
