a. The contest will begin on Monday, October 31, 2011, at 12:01 a.m. EDT and end on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. EDT.
b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following web page: www.wivb.com Contests and click on the Million Dollar Quartet Look-A-Like contest link. If you have a picture of yourself looking like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins or Jerry Lee Lewis, upload the photo and fill out the entry form. Incomplete entries will not be eligible to win. Limit one entry per person.
c. WIVB-TV/WIVB.com (the Station) is not responsible for Internet transmission errors, illegible entries, telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent transmitting his/her entry. Entrant is responsible for all on-line charges incurred by internet service provider.
d. All entries become the property of the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the status of any entry.
e. By entering, you agree to the terms of these Official Rules and to receive e-mails from Sponsor or those directed by Sponsor. You can opt-out of the receipt of such e-mails by following the directions on the Contest website or in any e-mail received from Sponsor.
a. The contest is open to legal residents of the U.S. who are 18 years or older at the time of entry, who are residents of Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, or Allegany counties. Employees, officers, and directors (and members of the immediate families or households of each) of Shea’s Performing Arts Center and WIVB-TV and each of their respective affiliated companies, subsidiaries, distributors, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with this contest, are not eligible to participate. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
b. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station contest. Viewers are eligible to win a WIVB-TV/WIVB.com contest only once every thirty (30) days. Viewers are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six (6) months.
a. Four (4) winners will each receive a pair of tickets to the performance of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, Tuesday, November 8, 2011. The total approximate value is $450.00. Restrictions may apply.
b. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the WIVB-TV studio lobby located at 2077 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14207, during regular business hours of 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Winner must show a valid government-issued New York State driver’s license or photo identification before receiving prize. The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed by November 8, 2011. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
d. When applicable, taxes are the responsibility of the winner.
a. Decisions of the station management with respect to the contest are final.
b. Four (4) winners will be selected by random drawing from the eligible entries on Thursday, November 3, 2011. All winners will be announced during Wake Up! on Friday, November 4, 2011. Each winner will receive a pair of tickets to the performance of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, Tuesday, November 8, 2011.. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
c. Winner(s) list will be available at www.wivb.com contest winners list after Friday, November 4, 2011. Winner(s) will be contacted by a Station representative. Winner(s) must complete and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form before receiving prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize and an alternate winner may be chosen by random drawing.
a. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
b. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winners to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, the Sponsor, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
c. The Station and the sponsor reserve the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or canceled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
d. Failure to comply with the contest rules or the website terms of service may result in an entrant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.
e. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.
f. A list of winners will be available at www.wivb.com and during regular business hours at the main studio of WIVB-TV, 2077 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14207.
