The UIndy football season begins Thursday night with the home opener against Kentucky Wesleyan, but the Greyhounds are already making news.
Today’s Indianapolis Star carries a season preview for the team, now beginning its final year with the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and already anticipating next year’s launch of Great Lakes Valley Conference football.
“We’re excited about the move,” Coach Bob Bartolomeo told the Star.
Meanwhile, the man better known as “Coach Bart” is the subject of a story in the Times of Northwest Indiana. Bartolomeo grew up in Gary and is still remembered as a football standout at Merrillville’s Andrean High School.
