Former Texas A&M running back and return specialist Dante Hall retired from the NFL after the 2008 season. He currently is living in Houston and working as a community ambassador for the Houston Texans.
Hall, 33, transitioned to wide receiver in the NFL but made his mark on the pro game as one of the most-dynamic return men in league history. He was selected to two Pro Bowls, both as members of the Kansas City Chiefs. He also played for the St. Louis Rams.
Known as the “X-Factor” and “Human Joystick” for his open-field prowess, the 5-foot-8 Hall racked up a remarkable 4,707 all-purpose yards at TAMU and was a key member of the 1998 Big 12 title team, the last time the Aggies won the league championship.
Texas A&M, which shared the top spot in the Big 12 South in 2010, hopes to end that championship drought this season. It will take a big step toward doing so if it can win Saturday’s showdown with No. 7 Oklahoma State. Dante Hall profile
