FROM 1D: Since the NFL divisional realignment in 2002, the three teams which have never made the playoffs are the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and Houston Texans. Buffalo and Detroit are both 3-0 this season, while Houston is 2-1.

10 YEARS AGO (2001): In Class AAA high school football, St. Mary's came back to beat Mandan 20-18.

Kyle Weber rushed for three touchdowns for the Saints, while Aaron Wald kicked two extra points.

For the Braves, Jim Crouse caught a scoring pass from Jack Schuh, Justin Fleck rushed for a touchdown and Funnon Barker recovered a fumble in the end zone for a score.

20 YEARS AGO (1991): The Bismarck girls basketball team crushed Williston 75-38.

Robyn Marschke led a balanced Demon attack with 14 points, while Shannon McQuade added 13 and 10 rebounds. Kim Potter, Chantel Hoff and Suzy Mayer each added 12 points.

Misti Germundson led the Coyotes with 13.

50 YEARS AGO (1961): NAPOLEON - The Napoleon High School football team beat Linton 40-14.

Dennis Friestad and Gene Grenz both scored twice for the Imperials. Robert Werlinger galloped for another touchdown and passed to Gary Aberle for another.

Ed Jutila with two touchdowns and one each by Grenz and Friestad took care of the extra-point scoring.
