Chargers Sign Kevin Bentley… Not Exactly Kirk Morrison

AUTHOR: Ernie Padaon | IN: Chargers | COMMENTS: None Yet |

The Chargers added veteran Kevin Bentley to the team today to play middle linebacker. He is in his 9th season and has played for the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans. He had 55 tackles last season in Houston and will probably be used as the backup linebacker if Stephen Cooper is not able to play with one arm.

Now I wonder if I would rather have one-armed Stephen Cooper or Kevin Bentley . I have never seen Bentley play, or maybe I have and never noticed him on the field, but I hope that he is a quick learner and can provide some veteran leadership to the team.

Is this really going to be the replacement to Coop? If it is, then we are showing A LOT of confidence in Donald Butler. I hope another option becomes available soon. I look up pictures of Bentley and I find that shot of him in some YOGA pose. He better downward dog on some quarterbacks and then bust a warrior pose after! (I know more yoga than I thought)
