Three starting running backs all facing top-five run defenses.
Three starting running backs who've had injury problems this year.
Three starting running backs and one of them has to start.
This questions comes courtesy of Boone via e-mail.
The most favorable matchup of the three belongs to Blount because he's actually at home.
The Buccaneers host the Houston Texans this week in an out of conference matchupp between two playoff hopefuls.
The Texans have the luxury of playing in a watered down AFC South while the Bucs are in the thick of the NFC South race with the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints.
The vastly improved Texans defense has done a great job this season. Tampa Bay has struggled to get Blount on track so far and a lot of that has had to do with his injury woes.
Much of the same can be said for Brandon Jacobs of the New York Giants. He wasn't the starter in the beginning of the year, but the injury to Ahmad Bradshaw has forced Jacobs back into the starting role on the heels of recovering from his own injury.
The Giants haven't been able to run the football all season though and it doesn't look like things are going to get started on the road against the league's top ranked rush defense.
If Big Blue is going to earn a win out West they're going to have to do it with Eli Manning.
And finally, Rashard Mendenhall, the best of the three options, is traveling to Cincinnati.
The Steelers, like the Giants and Bucs, are struggling to find consistency on the ground.
Mendenhall dealt with a hamstring injury earlier this year, but is back in his starter's role now. He isn't, however, putting up a ton of points.
Mendenhall found the endzone last week, but hasn't rushed for over 100 yards in three straight games and has only received 13 carries in each of those games.
Pittsburgh wants to run the football, but this team isn't built like that anymore.
Even so, he's guaranteed more touches than Blount and Jacobs in their respective matchups.
