Kate Gosselin may be distracted and stressed and the rumors that she is endangering her children are only going to add to that. The most famous mother of eight reportedly left her kids unattended in a car while she went in to buy some take-out. Que the rumor mill!
While that isn't the best thing to do, it does seem as though the car was parked and she was only running in and out. Her children are no longer babies -- they are 11 and 7 -- and can sit in a car for a few minutes while mom runs in to get some grub.
The National Enquirer is claiming that by leaving her kids in the car for 15 minutes she was endangering them and putting them at risk of being kidnapped. While that may be true, it's highly unlikely and is only being said to sensationalize a story.
"What kind of mom would leave her kids alone in a van in a shopping mall?" said photographer Pam Van-Winkle. "Kate is in the public eye and that puts her kids at risk of being kidnapped - she was endangering these kids. It's outrageous!"
Oh please! Give the woman a break! Kate Gosselin is no different than any other mom out there. Yes, she has been on TV and has eight kids, but leaving them alone for a few minutes isn't such a bad thing. They are older now and are able to wait in the car while mom runs in the store or restaurant.
