Would you say “I do” to the same man twice?
Vicki Gunvalson could’ve easily given up on her marriage when she started to feel it was fizzling, but instead she did the exact opposite. The Real Housewives of Orange County star worked hard to repair her 15-year relationship, and instead of divorcing, ended up walking down the aisle again.
“I felt like we needed a new start,” Vicki, 47, explains to Life & Style of the reason behind re-marrying her hubby, Donn . “Our relationship had started to feel platonic.”
After complaining about an “empty love tank” on her Bravo reality show in 2008, Vicki realized it was going to take a lot of hard work to mend her marriage, but in the end, it was worth all the trouble.
How did the couple learn to fall in love again? Vicki says that not did they start counseling, but they also started going to church together and made sure to squeeze in romantic moonlit walks. “We both wanted to get back on track and start making each other feel important again,” she says.
To prove that, the two re-tied the knot during a trip to Turks & Caicos in July 2009. They renewed their vows during a “beautiful” ceremony on the beach, which was attended by Michael and Briana , Vicki’s children from a previous marriage.
