Cherokee Strip Museum Friends plan Renaissance Festival fundraiser

The Friends of the Cherokee Strip Renaissance Festival are gearing up for a benefit dinner and auction to be held at the Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The dinner will include beef tri-tips, sweet potato casserole or potato salad, green beans, salad, dinner rolls and a dessert. The beef is donated by Creekstone Farms LLC. Tickets to the dinner are $10 each.

The auction will be held after the meal. The committee has been gathering items for people of all interests: cooking tools, a Travel Kansas Basket with free passes to many of Kansas’ museums and zoos, Ducks Unlimited merchandise, jewelry, Whitesnake concert tickets, a Harley Davidson lamp, a Lionel Train, gift certificates and more.

Come on out and support the Renaissance festival. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Give them a call at (620) 442-6750 to reserve your seat.
