Isaak, Montgomery Gentry, Lynne dish out new music

Tuesday, October 18, 2011 – Three veteran acts - Chris Isaak, Montgomery Gentry and Shelby Lynne - are out with new CDs today.

Isaak goes retro with "Beyond the Sun," his tribute to the Su Studio artists like Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins on a 14-song set.

Montgomery Gentry parted ways with Sony Nashville for "Rebels on the Run" (Average Joe's). Besides changing labels, Eddie Montgomery had prostate cancer and found his wife filing for divorce. The new CD consists of 11 songs.

Lynne offers '"Revelation Road" on her own label. The disc is a follow-up to 2010's "Tears, Lies And Alibis."

A big time electrical storm on June 1 resulted in LaMontagne going on about 45 minutes later than planned. The rain held off at the Life is Good Festival and even though LaMontagne was again late through no fault of his own, the key thing that...  »»»
