Reflashing MIUI ICS 1.11.9 - Suggestions needed

I am using MIUI ICS 1.11.9 i like the appearence and the performance of this rom. Any way i have two problems (ofcourse its still in the development stage) One is my video recording gets freeze and the another one is music player (with the head phone) get stopped if we browse or do anything on the phone while listening to music. So i decided to reflash the rom but what i want to know is if i take a MIUI backup which came along with the rom and reflash by wiping the data/factory reset then clearing the dalvik cache and partition cache once done will it be easy to restore all the applications as it is by restoring it by using MIUI backup.
