(RTTNews) - The Legal Aid Association of East Tennessee has reportedly turned Elvis Presley's lengthy relationship with the law into a new continuing education course.
The course is titled "Elvis Law: The State and Federal Cases Dealing with the Late King of Rock 'n' Roll" and will cover the legal aspects of The King's career and estate administration.
Most of the participants in the course are expected to be Tennessee-based attorneys, who will use the three-hour class towards the 15 hours of continuing education they must pursue each year. They will learn about the use of Presley's name and likeness, access to Presley's public records and disputes of concert tickets sold for dates scheduled after his death.
"Elvis was fascinating," Legal Aid's Russell Fowler told the Tennessean. "He was not litigious, never sued anybody. He'd fire someone and then give them $50,000 to be nice. But when he died, litigation sprang from everywhere."
