Jillian Wright Celeb Skincare Secrets | Style Goes Strong

Jillian Wright wants to help you save face.

Just ask any (or many) of her over 40celebs who have glowing, age-less skin thanks to her treatments and regimes at the Jillian Wright Clinical Skin Spa in NYC.

Jillian, who is also the global brand expert for Olay, says that you can turn the clock back when it comes to your skin.

"We're so young in our hearts, minds and spirits. Why not have the skin to match it?" she says.

Why not indeed?

"You can rejuvenate your skin with the right anti-aging routine," promises Jillian who has treated stars including Kristen Wiig, Tea Leoni, Ivana Trump, Alicia Silverstone, and Virginia Madsen plus thousands of other clients.

"I promise you that people with great skin are into reversing the premature aging process, which is totally possible if you're self-disciplined and pick your battles."

She points to stars who give great skin.

"Jennifer Lopez has magnificent skin. So does Julie Bowen from 'Modern Family,'" says Jillian. "Virginia Madsen and Jill Hennessey. Madonna has beautiful skin. So does Tea Leoni.

"These ladies take care of business in a smart way," she says.

How Can You Save Your Face?

Tip 1: Discipline:"A little self discipline and a regime goes a long way," says Jillian. "As the years speed up, you don't want the effect on your skin to speed up. With a good regime, you can have that beautiful, well-balanced skin. You just can't be lazy."

Tip 2: Don't Use Random Products."You have to use skin care that works for you," she says. "Don't just use random products. Know what the ingredients are doing for you."

Tip 3: Skip Foaming Cleansers:  "You need a good cleanser, but try to stay away from foaming cleansers. There are a lot of wonderful cleaners that lather and give you the effect of foaming," she says. "They might feel clean, but they dry out your skin."

She says to pick a milk cleanser. "Simple is better." Her product picks: Flash Foam Cleanser from Bioelements. Or Jillian recommends Rhonda Allison's cleansers, which vary depending on skin type. "They lather like foam and there are five hundred pumps per bottle or 250 washes," says Jillian. "This is very economical at $32." Want to try a drugstore buy? "Total Effects Anti Aging Cleanser by Olay is very good. They put a lot of research behind their products.

Tip 4: Invest in a Day and a Night Serum."The day serum will protect your skin from free radical damage and will protect the skin from inflammation, excess sugar or sun. These things eat away at healthy skin skins and that's how we get the fine line and wrinkles. The night serum will help you repair and bring down any redness," she says. Her picks include Bioelements Advanced Vitamineral C Complex. "They extract the C from cherries. It's also very firming. And this company has great night serums." She also recommends Burt's Bees serums.

"Look at the list of ingredients when it comes to serums. Some great ingredients include Vitamin E, Vitamin C, green tea and oatmeal for calming."

She adds, "Anything that soothes the skin and nourishes it while bringing down inflammation is key," she says. She says serums should be tested on "how they make your skin feel. It shouldn't feel super dry or oily after you use them."

Tip 5: Pick the Right Moisturizer for Day and Night. Jillian says to buy two. "The day moisturizer needs to protect and nourish. The nighttime one needs to rejuvenate and repair."

She says to put on your serum first. "Serums have a higher concentration. Put them on first and then use your moisturizer to push the serum into your skin."

She says the rule on moisturizer is that they should "be a workhorse and working for all the time." As for product picks, she says there are too many to list. "Watch out for anything that makes you red, oily or breaks you out."

Jillian adds, "You know your regime is working when you look in the mirror and say, 'My skin is beautiful.'"
