JD Byrider opens second Kansas City-area used car dealership - Kansas City Business Journal

JD Byrider  , a rapidly growing used car dealership, has opened an Independence location, its second in Missouri.

Along with selling used cars, the Miracle Mile store at 3225 S. Noland Road offers financing, a service department and a customer service center.

The company’s other Missouri location is in Columbia. In the Kansas City metro area, JD Byrider also has a location at 7722 Metcalf Ave. in Overland Park, according to its website.

The latest dealership is the eighth for franchisee Rich Stutts, whose other JD Byrider locations are in Indiana and Kansas.

“In times of economic need, JD Byrider has the best financing options available for people who do not have optimal credit histories,” he said in a release.

JD Byrider, based in the Indianapolis area, has opened dealerships in eight other locations this year for a total of 133 dealerships in 30 states, and it expects more before 2011 wraps up. The dealerships are a mix of company-owned and franchised locations.

In May, JD Byrider was acquired by Altamont Capital Partners, a private investment firm based in the San Francisco area. The acquisition was to offer strategic direction, resources and capital to bolster long-term growth.
