DAVENPORT — Two Clinton residents recently received prison sentences for their involvement with methamphetamine.
Bart Hyde, 37, of Clinton, was sentenced Friday to more than 19 years in prison for conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine. Nicole Walker, 41, of Clinton, was sentenced to 10 years for her role in the conspiracy.

Walker and Hyde also were sentenced to five years supervised release following imprisonment and to pay $100 to the Crime Victims Fund.
Hyde pleaded guilty on May 20 in federal court for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. Walker pleaded guilty on Feb. 24 for conspiring to distribute at least 5 grams of actual methamphetamine.
Starting in 2003, Walker and Hyde became involved in a conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine to others in the Clinton area. This involved the manufacture of anhydrous ammonia methamphetamine, as well as importing “Ice” methamphetamine from as far away as Arizona. Over the course of several years, more than 800 grams of methamphetamine was manufactured or distributed.
This case was investigated by the Clinton Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration, and was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
