Last Saturday saw the 73rd birthday of STELLA STEVENS, one of the most popular actresses of the ’60s and ’70s, who starred in such iconic hit films as THE NUTTY PROFESSOR, THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE, THE COURTSHIP OF EDDIE’S FATHER and THE BALLAD OF CABLE HOGUE. A veteran of stage, screen and television, former Playboy Playmate and studio contract player, she was constantly in demand and worked with such classic leading men as DEAN MARTIN, GLEN FORD, JASON ROBARDS, RYAN O’NEAL and BURT REYNOLDS. During an interview we did with her a few years ago, she reminisced about several of her on-screen roles and shared some unpleasant memories of working with ELVIS PRESLEY on the 1962 musical comedy GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS!. Apparently the “King of Rock and Roll” was less than a prince in his off-screen behavior. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
