(AP) -- The San Jose Sharks have promoted longtime executive Joe Will to assistant general manager.

The team announced the move Saturday. Will will work with vice president and assistant general manager Wayne Thomas and report to general manager Doug Wilson.

Wilson says Will has been an integral part of the organization for years and he is deserving of the promotion.
