We made it! It's the last week of the summer TV season, so expect a lot of finales and early fall starts on television this week. Tonight we say goodbye to three shows (one forever) while a new Miss Universe is crowned. Here's what's on TV Monday.
ABC has devoted the entire evening to the season finale of Bachelor Pad . At 8pm, the final four couples take on the final challenge: recreating a Cirque du Soleil routine. The winner of the challenge will choose which couple will join them in the finale at 9pm. The other cast members will reunite and vote for who they want to win the $250,000 grand prize. We'll also meet Ben Flajnik, also known as Bachelor 16.
Over on the CW, Lady GaGa will be interviewed by fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier in the 76-minute special GaGa by Gaultier . GaGa will talk about her incredible rise to fame, her image management, art, fashion, and fan engagement. This could be really insightful. The special airs at 8pm, followed by the CW Fall Preview Special at 9:15.
The sixth season of HGTV's Design Star comes to a close tonight at 9pm. Two designers – Karl Sponholtz and Meg Caswell – will film pilots. The winner will have their pilot go to series on the home improvement network.
Also at 9pm is the 60th Annual Miss Universe Pageant . Natalie Morales and Bravo VP Andy Cohen will host the contest from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Miss Montenegro has won Miss Congeniality – will she go on to win the title?
Finally, Kate Gosselin and her brood will say goodbye on tonight's series finale of Kate Plus 8 . Tonight's episode will feature the family looking back at seven years of television with a focus on favorite moments. How many of those clips will feature Jon? Find out at 9pm.
