
Police received three calls asking for extra police patrols from BART employees in the afternoon. One woman told police the BART system was hacked by someone and the personal information of their officers was posted online. She said it stated for those onlookers to make note for all “BART haters.”
Other agencies confirmed a hacker had infiltrated the BART personnel files.
Tracy police received 142 calls for service Wednesday, Aug. 17. The following is a sample of those calls.
4 a.m.: A caller reported she found a man and a woman in her car on the 200 block of East Eaton Avenue. She told police she didn’t want a report because a junk yard was coming to pick up the car.
9:24 a.m.: A business owner reported his safe and computer were missing at Baja Fresh, 1875 W. 11th St.
10:42 a.m.: A Lo Jack alerted police near Tracy Boulevard and Tennis Lane. Police checked and found it was a training unit, and they were advised not to pursue it.
10:56 a.m.: A woman called to report a German shepherd tried to attack her near Chester Drive and Beverly Place. Police could not find the dog.
11 a.m.: A woman called to report her neighbor’s Yorkshire terrier just bit her near Alden Glen and Locust drives. She said the dog was running loose and she did not require any medical treatment.
11:35 a.m.: Police arrested a man for domestic violence in western Tracy. The arrest came after a woman called to report her former boyfriend choked and held her down. She said he broke her glasses. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
12:42 p.m.: A caller reported someone riding a miniature motorcycle up and down the street on the 1200 block of Wilson Avenue. Police issued a warning.
12:50 p.m.: Police arrested a man on outstanding warrants at Kentucky Fried Chicken, 400 W. 11th St. The arrest came after a caller reported he was being chased by a bunch of gang members in a pickup truck. He then told police it wasn’t gang members, but his dad. A restaurant clerk called to report the father and son were in a heated argument inside KFC.
2:44 p.m.: A caller reported a man going door-to-door selling solar systems. He said the man didn’t have a business permit or identification. He was gone before police arrived.
3:08 p.m.: A caller reported parents picking up children at Jacobson Elementary were blocking both lanes of Kavanagh Avenue. The cars were gone by the time police arrived at 3:26 p.m.
3:28 p.m.: A caller reported a Latino man tried to talk to her daughter while she was walking home from school near Chester Drive and Vallerand Road. She said the man was sitting in a Chevy Silverado on Chester Drive near the Mormon church. She said the same car was there the day before and requested extra police patrols.
6:54 p.m.: A caller reported a 9-year-old missing from Hawkins School, 475 Darlene Lane. The boy was reported missing for an hour — he was with his parents at back-to-school night. The father reported finding him at the school.
7:03 p.m.: A store clerk called to report a woman and two men stole baby formula from FoodMaxx, 3225 N. Tracy Blvd. An employee witnessed the theft and the trio running out of the store.
7:40 p.m.: A caller reported a child broke a window and was throwing limes at other residents on the 200 block of West Whittier Avenue. The caller told police they were no longer needed, because the child calmed down.
8:08 p.m.: A business clerk reported someone walking around on the roof of CA Check Cashing, 3309 N. Tracy Blvd. Police checked and found no one.
11:36 p.m.: Police issued a trespassing warning to someone at Lincoln Park, 170 E. Eaton Ave., for being in the park after hours.
